Dorset Ginger is...
Dorset Ginger is a traditional alcohol-free ginger drink, based on a family recipe that has been handed down through the generations. Using a ginger essence produced especially for us, our drink is smooth with a warm ginger taste. Dorset Ginger is great on its own, or makes a refreshing summer drink mixed with lemonade and ice. Many people also like to mix it with Whisky or Brandy as a spicy winter warmer!
Originally produced in Bournemouth on a small scale by a family butcher for many years, Dorset Ginger was founded as a Company in the early eighties. The owners took the product around the country to many County Shows, building up a reputation for quality as a fine traditional ginger drink.
We took on the Company in 2007 and moved production to the rural idyll of Lytchett Matravers in the heart of Dorset, where we continue to hand produce Dorset Ginger to the highest standards in our purpose built premises. The recent introduction of in-bottle pasteurization, giving extended shelf life, along with a new labeling machine, have kept the Company up to date whilst maintaining traditional methods.
